Fair Haven Eagles Tug of War Pulls in Support
for the Palliative Care Program

A rainy afternoon in June didn’t dampen the spirits of the organizers or attendees of the 7th Annual Tug of War, hosted by the Fair Haven Eagles. Despite the rain, the event raised over $13,800 to benefit the Palliative Care Program at Rutland Regional Medical Center. The Fair Haven Eagles have raised over $103,000 for the Community Cancer Center and Rutland Regional Medical Center.

"We are pleased to support this wonderful program," said, Dee Anderson, Event Coordinator, “The Eagles truly believe in ‘people helping people’ and we are pleased that we will be able to help patients and their families in the greater Rutland community.”

The ultimate goal of the Palliative Care program is to improve the quality of life for the seriously ill by providing symptom management and emotional support for patients and their families during the treatment process.
