Rutland Health Foundation Golf Invitational Raises Funds for Community Health Initiatives
Rutland, VT- The Rutland Health Foundation held its 15th Annual Golf Tournament on September 19, 2008 at the Rutland Country Club in Rutland, Vermont. The tournament brings together friends of Rutland Regional Medical Center, Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice and the Foundation to raise money for Kids on the Move, southern Vermont's only pediatric rehabilitation program; the Maternal Child Health Education program; and Bridges and Beyond, a volunteer program at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
"The tournament was a great success," said Domenic Serino, Executive Director of the Rutland Health Foundation. "Over the past 15 years the tournament has raised over $400,000 in support of vital community health initiatives. We would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers and sponsors for their continued support of this annual event. This is a wonderful cause and the money raised will help provide critical services to the greater Rutland community."
Signature sponsors of the tournament were Orthopaedic Health Services, Russell Investment Services and BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont. Kimbell Sherman & Ellis sponsored the pre-tournament breakfast, Sheridan Healthcare sponsored the on-course lunch and Engelberth Construction sponsored team prizes.
This year's tournament was chaired by Matt Levandowski of Heritage Family Credit Union. The tournament planning committee included: Ron Cioffi and Stacie Eaton of the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, Glenda Hawley of the Rutland Herald, Linda Stempek and Harold Weissman of the Chittenden Bank. |
